Georgia’s Center of Innovation for Agribusiness is exploring numerous research projects that will give Georgia companies a competitive edge. Pending research projects include: new methods for poultry house heating systems and fuels (wood pellets, shavings, chips and bark); methods to extend the life of bedding materials; using chicken litter as boiler fuel; safer, cost-reducing processing methods; and adding value to byproducts and waste streams.
